How are you all?
I pray you’re doing well and seeing the Lord in the small and mighty moments!

Thank you all for being so patient with me, as it’s taken a while to post a new blog. My brain has had a hard time putting words to paper, but, finally, I’m excited to share all about worship week!

WORSHIP WEEK (Oct 26 – Nov 1)

Last week was worship week for the girls on my squad. It was a week of tender intentionality and powerful revival. The Lord showed up in ways we never expected and blew us out of the water.

As the week went on, I was physically unwell and struggling to give my all. But, being a worship coordinator, it’s my job to create a space of worship and a place for the Holy Spirit to move, even when we’re tired.

SUNDAY PRAYER BURN

Last Sunday, I sat down with my team and we felt the Lord was asking us to dedicate this week to intentional worship. So, we created a schedule to take the spinning ideas out of our brains and make sure worship happened.

We started the night with worship lead by a girl on our squad and a guy on semesters. We held a prayer burn starting right after and had the themes of protection, life, armor and abundance. We had a schedule and each person signed up to spend at least one hour praying over these things during the night. We claimed protection, spoke life, put on the armor and received abundance. It was a beautiful space to deny ourselves and our sleep to come under what the Lord had for us.

MONDAY

On Monday, we did squad worship during the day and then a beautiful prayer walk around our base. We went as one, declaring unity in the body. As the music played and voices were lifted up, it was a place that felt broken, yet I could feel the stream of healing running through our time. I left that space feeling rested but also needing more – and God met me there:)

TUESDAY

On Tuesday, during breakfast, I had the opportunity to lead our squads in a quick devo to start our day well and put our hearts in a posture of gratitude. Everyone went around the table and said one thing they were grateful for. I then read Philippians 4:8-9. We talked about what to gaze our eyes on and the importance of a posture of praise.

Tuesday night, we held worship under the starts.
In the field in front of the office on our base, we stood as a squad under the big open sky and praised the Lord. It was a time so tender and a time where the Lord met me in the exact way I needed-as He does. He put a revelation in my heart and sat there with me. He met me in the pain and the hurting and spoke life into it. He brought encouragement so I could keep going. We couldn’t see the stars, but He was there no less.

WEDNESDAY

We had a night of squad intercession. This time didn’t go as I had anticipated or expected, but it was beautiful regardless. This was a space created to intentionally pray for and over our sisters. It was a time to listen to the Lord’s voice and practice boldness and obedience in sharing His words with those around us. He gave me a couple words for His daughters and gave some of them words for me. We shared with one another as the Lord asked and as the music played in the background. The lights were off and the space was pretty empty. I left with some questions and some answers, seeing the Lord in each:)

THURSDAY

Thursday was a beautiful day that also looked different than I expected. Plans changed for worship in the evening and we worked out the kinks as a team. I could see the Lord’s intentionally in it and am so grateful He chose to switch things up. We ended up having another night of prayer and worship. It was shorter than the first but just as powerful. It looked different but so beautiful. Many people were stressed and running short on time to pack for our visa run the next morning, but we all showed up and worshipped, regardless, and the Lord met us there in such a special way.

FRIDAY

This was such a special day. I woke up on Friday morning with an idea for a morning devo. As everyone sat around the table, I got to share the encouragement the Lord shared with me. I read Acts 1:8 and spoke of how we would still get to live out ministry as we were about to head to St. Lucia, South Africa. Life is ministry and ministry is life. Just because we’d spend the next 2 days resting and renewing our visas doesn’t mean that ministry would stop and those around us didn’t need salvation. The Lord was reminding us to walk in such intentionality wherever we go.

After breakfast cleanup, the boys picked us up and we started our drive to St. Lucia, for our Visa run (more on this in another blog). I rode in the boy’s van, along with 5 other girls. My amazing leader, Carter, taught us Siswati as we watched the beautiful scenery pass by. It was only a 4-5 hour ride and an incredibly fun one. I am so grateful for that time to connect and rest! Even this time spent in community was honoring to the Lord-worship to Him!

Later that night, I had a meeting with the rest of worship team (Bridger, Zoey and Megan). We had planned to hold beach worship on Saturday evening with communion and baptisms and then a night of testimonies a little later. There were many thoughts and concerns brought up within the squad about the timing, so my team decided to take all of those thoughts to the Lord. We chatted about it and took time to pray on it and ultimately heard the Lord asking us to keep the time as it was. It was a fun and beautiful meeting. We chatted and prayed and came under the Lord’s direction:)

The next day was Saturday and I’ve written a whole other blog on that, because the Lord did SO much.

Praise God for creating a beautiful space to worship Him and see His face, His hand, and learn that He blows my expectations out of the water!
