John 6:22-71

Just a couple of months ago I was here in the mountains of Honduras.

While staying in Comayagua, we were told of a village on another mountain. A place called Granadia - where poverty runs rampant, food is scarce, Jesus is only known as a little boy, and hearts are hurting.

I felt an overwhelming passion for these people, and wanted desperately to go to them. I prayed and prayed, asking the Lord to take me there. He promised. But, as one team after another got to hike through this village, I watched and felt heartbroken at the fact I never got to go.

And now, here I am, 5 months later, living in an answered prayer. On 9/30/26 my new squad and I drove up the mountain in order to hike down, visiting house after house on the way. We shared the Gospel - that Jesus came, He died, He rose, and He's coming back again because He loves us.

We met hurting families and started our morning at a school hidden in the mountain. We heard first hand of the poverty and the drought and the lack of food. We heard of the crime and felt the pain of the woman talking. Even as she was explaining how hungry they are, she had one of the 5 little girls in the school hand each person on my team a banana. What is this? Who would do that? Why would they care so deeply for us if they don't even know the One who cares so deeply for them?

My heart breaks for these precious people, and l am so grateful for the Lord's faithfulness in answering a prayer prayed so desperately...โ›ฐ๏ธ
